About Renfrewshire Riding Club R.R.C. History

Renfrewshire Riding Club has been in existence for over twenty years.  Throughout this time we have endeavoured to encourage our members to gain a good understanding of horsecare, improve their horse riding and handling skills, try out new disciplines....and of course to have fun and enjoy their horse!

What We Do?

We offer a fun and relaxed environment catering for all levels of riding ability.

Through regular all-year training events and competitions we are sure you'll find something to entertain both you and your horse.

We offer subsidised schooling in flatwork, jumping and cross-country.  Here are just some of the instructors we currently use - Jill Grant, Susan McKie, Andrew Hamilton, David Gatherer, Yvonne Kerr, Trisha Hunter and Lindsay Babes to name a few.

There is also an active social side to our riding club and we try to offer something for everyone, for example - a trip to a Tim Stockdale demonstration, an evening with Mary King, a sports psychologist talk, a course-building demonstration and not forgetting a good old night out.

Our Location

Renfrewshire Riding Club activities are generally located in the Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire areas.

During Spring, Summer and Autumn lessons take place at Lawmarnock Farm and Wardhouse Equestrian Centre - both located in Kilbarchan.  Over the winter months we go indoors to Ingliston House Stud, Bishopton and Lambridden Stud, Dalry.

Join R.R.C.

In line with British Riding Clubs, our membership runs from October for twelve months.  The annual fees are; £20 Junior, £26 Senior, £40 Joint and £60 Family Membership.

Most of the membership fee goes to BRC at Stoneleigh or to Area 1, therefore we organise separate activities to raise funds for the club.

New members are always welcome.  If you would like to join, please contact Linzi McDade for a membership application form at linzimc@hotmail.com, or download from the 'documents' section of this website.

Calender of Events 2009

Happy New Year from Renfrewshire Riding Club.  We hope that you will find something to suit you in our calender of events for 2009, which is downloadable from the 'documents' section of this site.  If there is anything that you would like to do, that isn't already featured, please let us know, and we will do what we can to accomodate you!

All dates and venues are provisional at this stage, however will be e-mailed and posted on this web-site closer to the event.
